Volunteer Application

The 17th Annual Pan African Film and Arts Festival (PAFF), has announced its call for volunteers for its festival taking place Thursday, February 5 through Monday, February 16 at the Culver Plaza Theatre in Culver City, California. Each year the PAFF presents over 175 quality films from the United States, Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America, Europe, the South Pacific and Canada, all showcasing the diversity and complexity of people of African descent and known for showcasing new films first. PAFF will also present one of America's largest fine art shows featuring prominent and emerging Black artists and fine craftspeople. Other events include the PAFF StudentFest, Children's Festival, Senior Connections, Comedy Night and Spokenword Festival. The PAFF attracts an audience of over 40,000 people to the films and over 240,000 attendees overall. The PAFF is recognized throughout the world as America's premiere Black film festival. 

Volunteer meetings will be held at the PAFF headquarters located at 3775 Santa Rosalia Drive in Los Angeles (adjacent to the Baldwin Hill Crenshaw Plaza ) on the following dates:

  • Saturday, December 20, 2008 @ noon
  • Saturday, January 10, 2009 @ noon
  • Saturday, January 17, 2009 @ noon
  • Saturday, January 24, 2009 @ noon
  • Saturday, January 3, 2009 @ noon

Light refreshments will be served. Women, seniors, youth (with parental permission), men and groups are encouraged to volunteer.
