As the largest Black film festival and a prominent event celebrating Black History Month, PAFF holds a unique place in the film industry calendar. It has played a vital role in promoting diversity, showcasing the talents of African and African American filmmakers, and celebrating the rich tapestry of Black history, culture, and creativity for over three decades. Additionally, PAFF is an Oscar-qualifying festival for animation and live-action films.
